
Anne T. Foley Leonard, 89, of Hanover died Thursday, April 11, 2002 in the Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital in Boston after a short illness. Daughter of the late Patrick and Barbara Naughton Foley, she was born in Boston on February 24, 1913. She was raised and educated in South Boston and was a Graduate of Boston Girls High School. Until her retirement in 1970, she was employed by the Boston School Department as a Secretary at South Boston High School. Mrs. Leonard lived Hyannis before moving to Hanover 7 years ago. She was active in many Senior Activities in Hyannis including Bowling and Line Dancing. For many years she was a Senior Citizen Travel Coordinator in Hyannis. Wife of the late John J. Leonard, she is survived by a son, John J. Leonard of Waltham, 4 daughters, Anne Marie McWilliams and her husband, Charles of Ellington CT, Maureen F. Walker and her husband, Ronald of Hanover, Barbara L. Shea and her husband, Daniel of Quincy and Joanne L. Diamond and her husband, Steven of Belmont, a brother, Patrick Foley of South Boston, 2 sisters, Mary Foley of Hyannis and Nora Morrison of Quincy and 9 grandchildren, Scott McWilliams, Mark McWilliams, Lawrence Walker, Carolyn Brangan, Juliann Walker, Matthew Walker, Megan Shea, Neil Thompson and Annie Leonard. She was the sister of the late John Foley, Thomas Foley and Bartley Nee. Funeral Mass on Monday, April 15, 2002 at 11 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Rte 139, Hanover. Interment in Hanover Center Cemetery. Visiting Hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53 in Hanover on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
