Annie E. McKenna

Annie E. (Morales) McKenna, aged 90, of Halifax passed away at home surrounded by her family. Born in Weymouth, she was the beloved wife of the late John T. McKenna. They had a wonderful life together that began with a blind date - she always said that when she was shown his picture, she said to herself “this is the man I’m going to marry.”

She was the loving mother of six including the late Wayne E. McKenna and the late Maureen A. McKenna. She often sang while she worked around the house and had the voice of an angel. She loved her gardens, watching the birds in her backyard, crocheting, painting and quilting. She was an excellent baker - her peanut butter cookies and brownies were legendary.

She is survived by her children: John T. McKenna and his wife Kim of Poway, CA; Edward L. McKenna of Plymouth, MA; Ronald L. McKenna and his wife, Teri of Escondido, CA; and Margaret A. McKenna of Halifax, MA. She was the loving grandmother of Aaron McKay of CA; Michelle Holloway of Buchanan, MI; Jodie Hoag of Salem, VA; Lori McKenna of Plymouth, MA; the late John McKenna of Poway, CA; Edward McKenna and his wife, Carissa of Davenport, FL; Patrick McKenna of Plymouth, MA; Kristen McKenna of Marshfield, MA; Sarah White of Poway, CA; Boston McKenna of Escondido, CA; and thirteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Anita (Morales) Whittemore and Patricia (Morales) Pelissier and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
