Barbara M. Bailey

Barbara M. (Kelly) Bailey, 71 of Hanson and formerly of Weymouth, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021. Born in Boston on September 30, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary "Madeline" (Coss) Kelly. Barbara enjoyed camping, visiting Wells Beach in Maine, reading, and listening to Irish music. She was devoted to her church, Immaculate Conception in Weymouth, where she was a longtime communicant. Most of all, Barbara cherished time spent with her family.

Barbara was the wife of the late Harry E. Bailey. She is survived by her children Kelly A. White and her husband Robert of Hanson and Mark D. Elia of Methuen, and her stepchildren Harry "Skip" Bailey of Bridgewater and Steven Bailey and his wife Robin of Weymouth. Barbara was the grandmother to Mikayla, Riley, Brendan, Michael, Beth, and Karlyn and great grandmother of three. She was the sister of Joseph Kelly and his wife Elizabeth of Whitman, Richard Kelly and his wife Mishelle of Maine, Madelyn Russell and her late husband Gregory of Plymouth, and the late Stephen Kelly and his wife Barbara of Minnesota. Barbara was the longtime, dear friend of the late Wayne "Bud" Robinson, with whom she enjoyed traveling with. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 21st at 9 AM at Holy Apostle Church (formerly St Joseph the Worker Church) 1 Maquan St, Route 14, Hanson. Masks must be worn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to JDRF, 60 Walnut Street, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.
