

Barbara Hinman Benjamin, 72, of Kingston died June 26 at Beth Israel Hospital. Born in Plainfield, NJ she was the daughter of the late Irving and Evelyn Meeker Hinman. Barbara was the devoted wife of Berton G. Benjamin for 51 years and the loving mother of Bond Benjamin of Pembroke, William and his wife Aya Benjamin of Braintree, Jeffrey Benjamin of Holliston and Laura Benjamin of Brockton and special grandmother to Steven, Megan, Courtney, Ethan and Kyle. She retired after working 20 years as a Claims Adjuster for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Barbara was a former member of St. David's Episcopal Church in Halifax where she served as treasurer for 20 years. She was also a member of the South Shore Genealogical Society, enjoyed genealogy, interment chat groups, swimming, gardening, knitting, crocheting and keeping her many bird feeders full all year round. Barbara's home is filled with trinkets and mementos of happy travels and other special events in her life. Barbara was a happy, friendly person to everyone she met and would help anyone in need. She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St., at the corner of Rte 14 & 58, in Hanson on Sunday from 2-5PM. Service in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00AM. Interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, in Bourne at 1:15PM.
