Barbara E. Fisher

Barbara E. Fisher, 85, of Hanover died Thursday, January 17, 2002 in the Beverly Manor Nursing Home in Plymouth after a long illness. The daughter of the late Charles H. and Josephine Barden Smith Sr., she was born in Norwell on December 12, 1916. She was raised and educated in Norwell and was a Graduate of Norwell High School. She had lived in Hanover for the last 59 years. Mrs. Fisher was formerly employed as a bookeeper for the former Hanover Pharmacy. The wife of the late George W. Fisher, she is survived by 2 sons, Charles W. Fisher of Hanover and Robert E. Fisher of Pembroke, a daughter, Jeanne Clark Smith of Hanover, a brother, Charles H. Smith Jr. of Hanover, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The Rev. Donald Remick, Pastor of the United Church of Christ in Hanover will officiate the Funeral Service on Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at 11 AM, in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53 in Hanover. Internment in Hanover Center Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday from 10-11 AM. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 36 Cameron Ave, Cambridge, MA 02140.
