Barry F. Hughes, 50 of Hanover formerly of Boston died April 29 at the South Shore Hospital. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late John L. and Elizabeth Byrnes Hughes Jr. Barry was an electronic technician and loved to read and was known as a very good cook. He is survived by his loving companion, Donna Walett of Hanover. Barry was special brother to his siblings; Beverly Hughes Kercz of Hyde Park, Leo Hughes of Jamaica Plain, Brian Hughes of VA, Neal Hughes of Hanson, Allen Hughes of Weymouth and Bernard Hughes of Norwood. He was predeceased by his brothers John J. and Mark Hughes. Barry was uncle of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and also had one step grandchild. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00AM in the Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre St., West Roxbury. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barry's memory may be made to The Pine Street Inn, 444 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02118.
