Beverly Louise Hayes

Beverly L. (Henderson) Hayes, a lifelong resident of Hanover, passed away peacefully at the age of 97, on October 30, 2023. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Donald Hayes, Sr., her son Donald Hayes, Jr., and his wife Jolene, grandson Jason Christensen, parents Walter and Bessie (Thompson) Henderson, and sister Shirley (Henderson) Adams.

She is survived by her loving son Timothy Hayes and his wife Judy of Belmont, NH, daughter Jacqueline (Hayes) Christensen and her husband Mark of Hanover. Cherished grandmother of Thomas and Kelly Hayes of Belmont, NH, Luke Christensen and his wife Jill of Pembroke, Erin (Christensen) Rockett and her husband Tommy of Pembroke, Donald Hayes III of Plymouth, and Christopher Hayes of Hanover. Much adored great grandmother of Quinley Rockett and Mason Christensen, of Pembroke. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Beverly worked as a kindergarten aide at the Hanover Cedar Elementary School for 19 years. She served on the executive board for the Hanover Legion Housing as a secretary for many years. She was a longtime member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild and was a member of the senior choir.

After raising her children, Beverly loved traveling to Aruba with her friend of many years, Margaret Dill. She also enjoyed her trips with the church group to Ireland, Scotland, and England.

As a mom, nana, great grandmother, and aunt, she will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington Street, Route 53, Hanover, on Tuesday at 10 AM. A funeral home service will be held at 11 AM. Burial to follow at Hanover Center Cemetery.
