

Born in Stuttgart, Germany on October 12, 1967, Carmen was the beloved daughter of the late Adolf and Waltraud Hirschman. She met the love of her life, Wayne, while he was serving in the Army stationed in Germany. After a whirlwind romance, they were married just six months later in Denmark and shared 36 devoted years of marriage together.
Carmen was the cherished mother of Lynne, Sabrina, Ian, and Scott Laundry, all of Halifax, and the proud and loving grandmother of Addison Albert. She is also survived by her caring mother-in-law, Donna Greeley and her husband Rick of Halifax; her brothers-in-law Dean and Doug Laundry, and Rick and Chris Greeley; her sister-in-laws Jennifer and Kristine Laundry and their families her step mother-in-law Marie Laundry; her dear best friend, Shaunna Mackenzie, along with her children, Oliver and Remy and her beloved fur babies Daisy and Bella.
Determined and bright, Carmen taught herself to speak English by completing children’s crossword puzzles. She had a deep love for children and was affectionately known as the neighborhood “Nana,” always ready with warmth, kindness, and a welcoming smile. Prior to her illness, she enjoyed her work as a clerk at Stop & Shop, where she appreciated her coworkers and the many customers she came to know over the years.
Carmen’s strength, devotion to family, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 8th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan Street (Corner of Routes 14 & 58), Hanson. A funeral home service will take place on Monday, March 9th at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
