Carol M. Ornell McLeod

Mrs. Carol M. Ornell McLeod, 59, of Halifax died Monday, December 12, 2005 in her home. She was born in Boston on December 3, 1946, the daughter of the late Stanley J. and Alphonsine V. Fournier Ornell and step daughter of the late Katherine Fournier. She was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of St. Matthews Grammar School and a graduate of Dorchester High School for Girls. She has been a resident of Halifax the past 33 years. Mrs. McLeod enjoyed cooking, shopping traveling, especially to Ireland, dining out and her grandchildren. She was a volunteer at the Christmas Bazaar held each year at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Halifax. She is survived by her husband, Ronald D. McLeod, 2 sons: Chad C. McLeod, and his wife, Gina C. Gandolfi McLeod of Berkley and Ryan J. McLeod of Dorchester, 1 daughter, Cheri L. McLeod of Halifax, 4 brothers, Stanley Ornell of Summerfield FL, Ralph Ornell of Portsmouth NH, Arthur ''Butchie'' Fournier of East Bridgewater and Duval Fournier of Norwood, 1 sister, Patricia McDonough of Readville and 3 grandchildren, Jacob W. McLeod, Alexa L. McLeod and Amaya C. McLeod and a dear friend, Mary Kelley of Braintree. She was the sister of the late Jacqueline Mason. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 11 AM in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 575 Monponsett Street, Rte 58 in Halifax {Monponsett. Internment will be in Central Cemetery in Halifax. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan Street, at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in HANSON on Thursday morning from 8:30-10:30 AM.
