Carol Jean Welch

Carol Jean Welch, age 80, went to be with her Lord on December 26, 2013 at South Shore Rehab. She passed away surrounded by her loving family. Born in 1933, Carol devoted her life to her family and her faith. Married to Richard E. Welch, a Navy veteran and the inventor of The Ang-L-Answer, for 47 years. Carol and Richard, along with Richard E. Welch Jr, owned and operated Rockland Glass and Aluminum Co., Inc. for 40 years. Carol is survived by her sons Richard Edwin Welch, Derrick Wayne Welch and his wife Elizabeth Ann, and Rodney Robert Welch. Carol was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Christine M. Welch. She is survived by her loving grandchildren Jessica Lee, Joanna Marie, Allison Christine, Ryan Adam, Jordan Aaron, Lily Elizabeth, and Derrick Wayne, along with her great grandchildren Logan Michael and Alexis Marie. Carol also leaves her dear friends, Lisa Bagley, Eileen Welch, and Nancy Craig. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 45 East Water St, ROCKLAND on Monday from 4-7 PM. Services and interment will be private. "At Heaven's gates she will be waiting with that same sweet loving smile. For she is gone before us, just a little while."
