Charles A. Parker, 77, of Rockland, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022. Born on August 2, 1944, he grew up in Charlestown. He was the devoted husband of the late Marie (Henrichon) Parker. Being one of ten children formed him into the kind and compassionate man he was known to be. Family meant everything to him.
He married the love of his life on February 11, 1967 and cherished his time with her. After her death, he maintained his bond with his daughters, grandchildren, and siblings but we all knew he truly longed to be reunited with Marie. It is only fitting that, on the night of the 55th anniversary of their special day, he went to sleep for the last time here on earth and woke up next to Marie.
He was the devoted and loving father of Pamela Leary and her husband Christopher of Plymouth, and Melissa Pilalas of Rockland. He was the cherished grandfather of Nicholas Pilalas; Sean, Samantha, Declan, and Eamon Leary. He was the loving brother of Katherine and her husband Harold Noonan of Florida, Dorothy Lucien of New Hampshire, Helen and her husband John Oliver of Dorchester, Patricia Noonan of Braintree, David Parker of Worcester, and Robert and his wife Jane Parker of Arizona, and brother in law of Giovanni Rossi of Medford. He is also reunited with his late siblings Hobart Morgan, Ethel Rossi, and William Parker as well as his parents, Myron and Ethel Parker.
Visiting hours will be at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St. in Rockland on Friday, February 18 from 4-7 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 19 at 9 AM at Holy Family Church, 403 Union St. in Rockland, followed by burial at Holy Family Cemetery.
