Claire Carpenter

Claire was born on July 23, 1966 and raised in Hanover. She was a graduate of Hanover High School. Claire later settled on Cape Cod where she raised her three daughters.

Claire was a thoughtful and generous woman. She was sincere and always willing to help others. Claire enjoyed being outdoors and gardening and bird watching. She also loved to go shopping at any and all local farmers markets, yard sales and most of all plant sales.

Claire is survived by her loving mother Joan F. Hurlburt. Wife of Timothy Carpenter. Mother of Stephanie Walsh and her husband Cameron of Florida, Samantha Hunt of Florida, and Jennifer Rose of Florida. Grandmother of Lillian Walsh. Sister of Stephen C. Hurlburt, James Hurlburt and his wife Cherilyn, Curt Hurlburt, Kathryn Lavertue and her husband Matthew, and the late Colan Hurlburt. Claire also leaves her first husband, longtime friend and father of Stephanie and Samantha, Don Hunt.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 9:00AM at Our Lady of the Angels Parish - St. Mary's in Hanover, 392 Hanover St. Burial will immediately follow at Hanover Center Cemetery.
