
Mr. David B. Jansen, 65, of Plympton died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 in his home after a short illness. The son of the late Sigurd and Martha Bangor Jansen, he was born in Jamaica Plain on March 30, 1938. He was raised and educated in Waltham and has lived in Plympton since 1978. Mr. Jansen was a Graduate of the Paul Smith's College in NY with a Degree in Forestry. He attended West Point from 1960 until 1962. He retired, with 30 years of service as a Pilot for Delta Air Lines. He was a Member and Past President of the Safari Club International and was an avid Outdoorsman and Big Game Hunter. He was a Member of the Old Colony Sportsmans Club in Pembroke and enjoyed all aspects of Competitive Shooting. Mr. Jansen was formerly employed by the Norwegian Government to train Paratroopers and was the recipient of the First Expert Paratrooper License in Norway. He was the former owner of Northeast Helicopters and was a Helicopter Pilot. Mr. Jansen was responsible for introducing Ricochet Digital recording and Replay Technology to the US market. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Kane Jansen, 1 Son, Scott Jansen of Abington, 1 Daughter, Lisa Jansen Vides of Port St. Lucie FL and 2 Grandchildren, Scott Jansen and Cole Jansen. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 13, 2004 at 10 AM in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Church Street in Hanover. Interment will be Private. Visiting Hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53 in Hanover Friday from 3-8 PM.
