Dominic A. "Tony" Spera, 46 of Rockland died in his sleep at home on Saturday, November 13, 2004. The son of Elizabeth Coughlin Spera of Rockland and the late Nicholas Spera, Tony was born in South Weymouth on March 17, 1958. He was raised and educated in Rockland. Tony was had been a member of the Holy Family Defenders Drum and Bugle Corps. He served in the Army in the late 70's and was discharged from the Army National Guard in 1984 as a SP4. Tony worked for over 20 years for Marshals Department Stores as a store detective. He was an avid sports fan. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Coughlin Spera of Rockland, 2 sisters, Linda McNutt of Rockland and Catherine Hatch of TN and 5 nephews, Derrick Hatch, Scott Hatch, Jason Hatch, Adam McNutt and Ryan McNutt. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at 9 AM in Holy Family Church, 403 Union Street in Rockland. Internment in Holy Family Cemetery. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 41-45 East Water Street in ROCKLAND on Tuesday from 6-9 PM.
