Donna Maria Thomas

Donna Maria (McDermott) Thomas, 65 of Hanson, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. The daughter of the late Andrew and Bertha (Boyle) McDermott, she was born in Boston on May 3, 1950. Donna was raised and educated in Charlestown and had been employed at Gragil Associates in Pembroke and at Video Voice in Marshfield. Donna was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the movies with friends. Donna was the wife of the late E. Arthur Thomas Jr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Philip Marino of Hanson; her son, Adam Thomas of Dorchester; her granddaughters, Katelyn and Jessica Marino; her sister and brother-in-law, Ellen Duggan and Walter Duggan of Charlestown; her brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Cathy McDermott of Halifax. Donna was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Joseph Cannizzaro of Charlestown. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St, at the corner of Route 14 & 58 in HANSON on Friday from 5-7:30 PM immediately followed by a service at 7:30 PM. Donations in Donna's name may be made in lieu of flowers to the Hospice of the South Shore, 100 Bay State Drive, Braintree, MA 02184.
