Doris M. Young

Doris M. Coles Young, 84 of Hanover died at the Brigham & Women's Hospital on October 10, after a brief illness. Daughter of William O. and Gladys Bonfield Coles, Doris was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 24, 1927 where she was raised and educated. A devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother, Doris was involved with the Hanover Council of Aging and on the committee for the holiday bizarre at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church where she was a communicant. Doris is survived by her loving husband Thomas P. Young, her sons Robert of NH, Paul and his wife Mary of Whitman, John and his wife Wendi of Hanson and her daughters Pat Gunning and her husband Paul of Rockland, Kathryn Moles of Middleboro, Theresa Richard and her husband Kenneth of NH and Helene Murdock and her husband David of S. Yarmouth. She was a special grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., HANOVER on Friday, Oct. 14 from 4-7pm and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart, Rte 139, 392 Hanover St., Hanover on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 9am.
