
Dorothy M. Shea, 68, of Hanover died Wednesday, October 24, 2001 in the Bay Path Nursing Home in Duxbury after a long illness. The daughter of the late Charles and Barbara Clancy Ford, she was born in Boston on August 29, 1933. She was raised and educated in Boston and lived in Weymouth before moving to Hanover in 1967. Mrs. Shea retired in the late 80's as a Telephone Operator for the former New England Telephone Company. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and was a former member of the Hanover Hunt and Riding Club. The wife of the late Daniel J. Shea Jr., she is survived by a son, Daniel J. Shea III of Kingston, 3 daughters, Kathleen M. Shea of Philadelphia PA, Susan M. Klein of Belchertown and Patricia E. Shea of Kingston, 2 sisters, Barbara Guerard of Neponsett and Patricia Ahlstedt of Punta Gorda FL, 1 grandson and 2 aunts. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Rte 139 in Hanover. Internment in Hanover Center Cemetery. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rt 53, Hanover, on Sunday 3-6 PM.
