

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Frances Early who left us on October 28, 2024 at the age of 98. She died peacefully at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, surrounded by her family.
She was born at home in Jamaica Plain on September 21, 1926. She was a loving daughter, raised by her parents the late James and Minnie Horan. She was one of eight siblings. She attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Jamaica Plain. Before Eileen married, she worked for several years for the FBI in their Boston office. In 1954 she married her husband, Charles Early, Jr., and they were married for 42 years until his passing in June of 1996.
She is survived by her sons Charles Early III and his wife Nancy of Pawtucket, RI, Peter Early of Norwell, and the late Christopher Early and his wife Christine of Middleboro. She is also survived her brother Richard Horan of Wellesley, her 4 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Eileen was a very lovely, caring woman who was deeply devoted to her church and family. She loved to walk and garden and had a special gift of baking sweets and goodies. She was "Eileen the baking queen", famous for her butterscotch brownies and pumpkin bread.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00AM on Wednesday, November 6th at Our Lady of the Angels (St. Mary's) in Hanover - 392 Hanover St. Burial will immediately follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
