Eleanor P. Burns

Eleanor P. Burns, 92 of Marshfield, passed away early on May 16, 2017. Fourth child of the late John and Catherine Keane, Eleanor was born in Manchester, NH and grew up in Rockland, MA. As one of eight children, Eleanor was never lacking for company at their home on Taunton Avenue. After graduating Rockland High School, she worked for many years for the United States Navy, and later, NASA.

She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Burns. Devoted mother of Mark and Lyn Burns. Dear sister of Donald Keane and his wife Charlotte of Coeur d'Alene, ID. Cherished grandmother of Brendan and Colman Burns-Takki. Eleanor also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 45 East Water St, Rockland, on Tuesday, May 23rd from 4-7 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, 403 Union St, Rockland, on Wednesday at 9 AM. Burial to follow in Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland.
