Francis P. Higgins, in Marshfield, formerly of Dorchester, Aug. 31, 2010. Retired SGT Metropolitan PD & MA State Police. Frank was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War and a proud holder of the Metropolitan Police Arrests Record. He was an avid poker player and his quirky sense of humor will be missed. Beloved husband of the late Maureen MarySullivan Higgins. Devoted father of Maureen Higgins of Weymouth, Madelene Daly and her husband Dennis of Marshfield and Colleen Kelly and her husband Kenneth of Marshfield. Cherished grandfather of Christian & Shannon Kelly. Brother of Marion Rubino of South Weymouth and the late Florence Letourneau and John T. Higgins. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte. 53 in Hanover on Thursday evening from 4-8 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 8 p.m. Private interment will take place at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Dorchester.
