Francis Melvin Solomon

Mr. Francis Melvin Solomon, 78 of Hanover died at home peacefully surrounded by family and close friends on May 23, 2011. He was born to the late Francis and Eva Solomon on October 9, 1932 in Brockton. Francis could accomplish anything he set his mind to do...including becoming the proud Founder and CEO of Dyna-Fab, Inc. in Rockland MA. Dyna-Fab was a top manufacturer of precision sheet metal parts and contracted with Raytheon and NASA. Many of the products produced by Dyna-Fab were put on the Space Shuttles. Francis married Louise Phillips in 1965, and they raised their six children in Pembroke. They later relocated to South Dennis, Weymouth and finally Hanover MA. Francis enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife, fishing, boating and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Francis was also an accomplished artist whose works will be treasured by his family forever. His boat was affectionately named Miles O'Smiles after his wife... the woman who made him smile most in the world. Francis is survived by six children: Lori Solomon of Quincy MA, Kimberly Murphy of Halifax, Patricia Phillips-Castraberti of Wenham, John Phillips of Rockland, Steven Solomon of Middleboro and Edward Solomon of Plymouth. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A Private service and burial was held. Arrangements by the Sullivan Funeral Home in HANOVER.
