

Gregg M. DeVeuve, 55 of Hanson died peacefully Sunday, Dec. 4 at home surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. Son of John and Bette Fernald DeVeuve of Westport, he was born in Newton on Sept. 20, 1956, and was raised and educated in Weymouth and had lived in Hanson since 1987. Gregg was employed by the South Shore Hospital working in the Information Systems. He loved fishing, especially ice fishing, hockey, boating but most of all being a husband, father, son, brother and friend. Loving husband of Susan Allen DeVeuve, devoted father of Michael and Abigail of Hanson he is also survived by his siblings Lori DeVeuve of Eastham, David and his wife Carol DeVeuve of Hopkinton, Amy DeVeuve and her husband Bill McAvoy of Hopkinton and Brian and his wife Susan DeVeuve of Weymouth and was special uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his in-laws, John and Pauline Allen of Norwood. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St., at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in HANSON on Friday from 4-8PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St., Rte 14, Hanson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gregg's memory may be made to The Lowe Center for Thoracic Oncology, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, c/o Dr. Paul Marcoux, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
