Hugh McColgan

Hugh M. McColgan, 65 of Hanson, passed away peacefully at home on October 31, 2024. Born on December 25, 1958 in Boston, he was the son of the late Daniel D. and Jeanette T. (Reynolds) McColgan. He worked as a gas technician at National Grid for many years. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed building, boating, landscaping, and was a Friend of Bill's. Most of all, Hugh loved spending time with his family.

Hugh was the beloved husband of Laura E. (Calley) McColgan. Devoted father of Nicole Daley and her husband Thomas of Weymouth, Michael Calley of Hanson and Daniel McColgan of Hanson. Dear brother of Marie Cadigan of Belmont and Steve McColgan of New Bedford. Cherished grandfather of Thomas and Ellie Daley, and Shane Gray-Calley.

Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 2 Maquan St. Corner Route 14 & 58, Hanson, on Tuesday, November 5th from 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Apostles Parish - St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St. Rte. 14, Hanson, on Wednesday at 11am. Burial to follow at Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson.
