Jim graduated from Boston English High School and went on to earn both his associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering from Northeastern University. He proudly served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, stationed in Okinawa, Japan, where he worked as a radio repairman. Following his service, Jim built a successful career in sales with companies including Unitrode, Bennetron, and Orion, excelling in both inside and outside sales.

His favorite destination, however, was Aruba, where he vacationed annually for nearly 25 years. Known for his craftsmanship, Jim was a skilled carpenter and electrician. In retirement, he was happiest tackling projects around the house, most recently completing a full kitchen renovation.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristen Jenkins Watson, and her husband, Donald, along with their daughters, Alexandra and Nadine; his son, Gregory Jenkins, and his fiancée, Nuttida Aramthip; his sister, Judith Allen; and many nieces and nephews.
