Jane E. Arthur Stevens

Mrs. Jane E. Arthur Stevens, 77, of Hanover died Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a short illness. The daughter of the late Matthew and Beatrice Donovan Arthur, she was born in Boston on June 28, 1927. She was raised, educated and was a lifelong resident of Hanover. Mrs. Arthur enjoyed restoring houses. Wife of the late Andrew J. Stevens Sr, she is survived by 3 sons, Patrick A. Stevens and his wife, Cindy of Holiday FL, Andrew J. Stevens Jr of New Bedford and Matthew A. Stevens of Hanover, 4 daughters, Kathleen J. Campanile and her husband, Michael of Kingston, Melissa McDougall and her husband, James of Hanson, Jane E. Tocchio and her husband, Doug of Halifax and Susan B. Stevens and her companion, Brian of Hanover, 1 brother, John Arthur of Rockland, 4 sisters, Judy Wilson of Indiana, Nancy Brennan of Jerome ID, Joan Button of Duxbury and Joyce Healy of CA, 21 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 44 nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jim Arthur, Matthew ''Bud'' Arthur, Beatrice ''Betty'' Cook, Patricia Hardaway, Rosemary ''Kitty'' Schultz and the late Gerald Arthur. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 23, 2005 at 9 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Rte 139 in Hanover. Interment will be in Hanover Center Cemetery. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53 in HANOVER on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
