

Jean Elizabeth Deacon (Cross), 67 of Rockland, MA, passed away peacefully in her home with her daughters by her side after battling several illnesses. She was raised and educated in Quincy, MA. She later met her husband of 23 years, Dale Deacon of Weymouth, and after they moved to Rockland where they raised their 3 children. She worked for 20 years at Rockland Daycare where she shared her gifts of compassion and love for children. She also spent many years working with and helping others in AA. She poured her heart into anyone that needed love.
Jean is survived by her ex-husband, Dale Deacon of Wrentham, and her daughters; Shannan Kilsey and husband Jarrod of South Carolina, and Leah Lucio and husband Ken of Marshfield. Her love extended beyond her children to her 3 grandchildren; Nicolas and Zacary Kilsey, and Ava Lucio. Jean is predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Marion Cross, and her son, Joshua Dale Deacon. Jean also has 3 brothers; Edward, Robert, and Gary Cross. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her family would like to thank the village of people that were instrumental in caring for and coordinating her needs to be able to fulfill her wishes to spend her final time on this earth in her home. You all are angels here on earth.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, May 23 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 E Water Street, Rockland, followed by a service in the funeral home at 3 p.m.
