

Mrs. Joanne K. Kehoe Smith, 67, of Hanson died Saturday, November 17, 2007 in the Beth Israel/Deaconess Hospital in Boston after a long illness. She was born in Boston on January 13, 1940, the daughter of the late George F. and Edna M. Lloyd Kehoe. She was raised and educated in Dorchester and was a graduate of Nazareth High School in South Boston. Mrs. smith lived in Hanover for over 25 years before moving to Hanson 9 years ago and was alto a summer resident of Falmouth for many years. Until her retirement , she was employed as a Field Representative for the US census Bureau. She is survived by 2 sons, David B. Smith of Hanover and Mark R. Smith of Braintree, 2 sisters, Lorraine K. McCabe of Augusta ME and Geraldine K. Benedict of Canton, 6 grandchildren: Erin, Brendan, Molly, Sean, Corey and Ryan and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Richard B. Smith. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Rte 139 in Hanover. Interment will be at a later date in old Calvary Cemetery in Boston. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53, in HANOVER on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
