

John Francis Collins Jr. of Pembroke, formerly of Brighton, passed away surrounded by his family on November 3, 2017 at the age of 74. Born and raised in Boston, he was the son of the late John Collins and Regina Woods. Brother to the late Mary Jane, Thomas, Beverly and Angela. He is survived by his children John Collins III, Gregory Collins, Kirsten Coburn and her husband Ken, Jeffrey Collins and Kelly McKinney who is his daughter at heart. He is also survived by his grandchildren who always made him smile: Julia, Jacob, Celia Collins and the late Zachary Collins, as well as Lauren and Lilah Coburn.
John was a United States Marine Veteran. He was a proud member of IBEW local 103 until his retirement. John had a great sense of humor that would come through in the stories he told. He had the ability to see the irony and humor in situations to lighten the mood even in his most trying days. John traveled the world while in the Marine Corp. as well as for work, but his favorite place will always be Megan's Bay St. Thomas. He loved to fish especially the Caribbean Sea.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St. Rte. 139, Hanover, on Monday, November 13th at 10 AM.
