

John Jack F. Connolly Jr, 57, truck driver for Boston Sand & Gravel died at home on Sunday, January 26, 2003 from Pancreatic cancer. The son of the late John F. and Mary B. Dowling Connolly Sr, he was born in Dorchester on September 23, 1945. He was raised and educated in Dorchester and moved to Hanover from South Weymouth in 1987. He served in the Army from 1963 to 1965. He was a volunteer logistics coordinator for the Pan Mass Challenge for 13 years, served on the board of the South Shore Halfway House and was a volunteer for Standish Humane Society. He is survived by his wife, Janice Morgardo-Hodge Connolly, one brother, Paul of Scituate, two sisters, Kathy Ramos and Donna Panzini both of Brockton, and the late Clair Ruprecht, 6 children, Bryan Hodge of Cumberland RI, Tammy Murphy of Duxbury, Sherry Bayardo of Morgan Hill CA, John F. Connolly III of Weymouth, Christine Reynolds of Dorchester and Lisa Mallard of Quincy, 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at 9 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Rte 139 in Hanover. Internment will be in Hanover Center Cemetery. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53 in Hanover on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM.
