John was born and raised in Brookline on January 22, 1926. He proudly served his country with the US Army during WWII in Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe. John was a well-known podiatrist. He had a private practice in Weymouth for over 30 years. He was the devoted husband of the late Barbara (Hain), loving father of Kenneth Day of Plympton, Elaine Plahn of Hanover and Christopher Day of Raynham. John was grandfather to 6 grandchildren, dear brother of Janet Malloy of Cohasset and the late Frances Meyers.
Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., HANOVER on Sunday from 12-3PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte 139, Hanover. Interment in Hanover Center Cemetery.
