John Joseph Farmer, 79, of Quincy, formerly of S. Boston, April 4, 2009. Son of the late Helen Perry Farmer. Loving brother of Doris Linehan of Kingston, Helen Davenport of S. Boston, James Farmer of Braintree, Jeanne Klaus of Halifax and Susie Lee of Hanover. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Vincent, Robert, Paul, Lawrence, Francis Farmer, Marie Broderick and Patricia Costigliola. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte. 139 in Hanover. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery in Rockland. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte. 53, Hanover on Tuesday 9 - 10:30 a.m. Retired postal worker for the South Postal ANNEX in S. Boston and served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years.
