John F. Newton, formerly of Dorchester, passed away unexpectedly, at the age of 76, at his home in Hanson, on February 22, 2013. He was the beloved son of the late John and Agnes Higgins Newton. Devoted brother of the late Fred Newton and Elizabeth Machado. He is survived by his brother James Newton. Cherished uncle to Marie, Eddie, Blanche, Ralph, James, Barbara Lindsey, Cheryl Lyman and Deborah White Machado, Ronald, James, Bruce and Ricky Newton, and many great nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed. At the request of the family, services will be held in private.
