

John was born in Greenville, South Carolina and went to school in many states and countries but graduated from high school in Glasgow, Montana; then, to the University of Montana at Missoula for college and was a member of the ATO fraternity. He started working as a door man for National General ,Corp. in Missoula then went to New Mexico and became an assistant manager for them. They then transferred him to Manager in Sterling, Colorado where he met his wife. They transferred him again to Duragno, Colorado and he didn't like it so he got a job at a new theater in New Bedford, Mass. and quit National General. After working 2 years in New Bedford, he was hired by National Screen Service to sell theatre equipment and from there he went to General Cinema Theaters and became Director of Technical Services for 20+ years. He was the member of Hanson Historical Society, Duxbury Bay Regional Medical Reserve Core, Chairperson of Hanson Capital Improvement Committee and signed out voters on elections. He was preceded in death by grandparents, parents, aunt & uncle, nieces, nephew and cousins.He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patty, and their son John and his wife Jennifer and their children Olivia, Emily, and John. His brother, William and his son, Sean, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Instead of flowers, please donate to Hanson Food Pantry in his memory at 228 High Street, Hanson.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 15th from 4:00PM-7:00PM at Sullivan Funeral Home in Hanson - 2 Maquan St. A funeral mass will be on Saturday, September 16th at 11:00AM at Holy Apostles Parish - St. Joseph the Worker - 1 Maquan St. Burial will immediately follow at Fern Hill Cemetery.
