John Kevin Sullivan

John graduated from Braintree High School in 1966 before enlisting in the US army and serving in Vietnam as Crew Chief. He received numerous medals including 3 Purple Hearts and Medals of Valor.

He returned home and worked as a third-generation member of the Pipefitters union, where he was a proud member of Local 537 for 50 years.

In 1971, he married the love of his life, Karen. Together they had four children and four grandchildren. After retirement, he spent his years traveling with his wife and enjoying time with his grandkids that he adored. John was a devoted New England sports fan and could often be found watching Patriots games at the Elks in Weymouth on Sundays.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Karen, and his children Connie and her husband Paul; Ron and his wife Robin; Shawn; and Kevin and his wife Krystal. His brothers Kevin, Richard, Daniel, and sister Patricia; his grandchildren Joseph, Austin, Madison, and he was reunited with his granddaughter Allyssia in heaven.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 18 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington Street, Hanover (Route 53).
