Joe was born November, 3rd 1961 in Boston and raised in Hanover Mass. He was a driven, multi-talented man and accomplished anything he put his mind to. Not only did he graduate high school early to pursue his skills in carpentry but was also an accomplished chef in his youth, working in high-end restaurants in Boston. Joe went on to find great success in the medical sales field, eventually owning and selling his own medical equipment company. He then revived his passion for carpentry and started his own successful general contracting business. He loved building and sought perfection in every project and it always showed in the high quality results of his hard work.
Joe was a proud businessman but his true passion was flying airplanes. Earning his private pilot's license early in life, Joe loved to be in the air. He was a “frequent flyer” at Cranland Airport in Hanson and was always flying family and friends to the Cape and surrounding areas for fun day trips. Joe could tell you anything you ever wanted to know about flying and studied diligently to better himself as a pilot. Most recently, he achieved his commercial and IFR ratings in aviation. He also combined his love of flying with his knowledge of photography to start New England Aerial Photography.
Joe is survived by his wife, Deborah and two loving daughters, Valerie and Danielle Barretto. His mother, Joan Barretto of Hull, MA, his brother, Michael Barretto, and his sister, Suzanne Metzler of Surfside Beach, SC. As well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and grand-nephews.
