Karen L Murphy

Karen L. Murphy, 43, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018. Daughter of Thomas Murphy of Weymouth, Massachusetts, and the late Florence (McNeill), she leaves behind her devoted partner of 28 years, R. Thompson Mills, and their son, Steven T. Mills, both of Hanson, Massachusetts. Loving sister of Thomas Murphy and Michael Murphy both of Weymouth, she also leaves behind cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Her sister, Jean Murphy, predeceased her (2017).

Karen was a lover of life, with a particular fondness for the outdoors; she enjoyed horticulture, bird watching, air shows, camping, and dirtbiking, among many other things. She took pride in her work and truly enjoyed it; in every part of her life, she was rarely without a smile. She played fiercely competitive video games and Scrabble, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family, most of all.

Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St, at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in Hanson on Thursday, Oct 4th from 4-7 PM. All other services will be private.
