

Mrs. Kathleen "Kate" M. Lyons DeSantis, 52 of Pembroke formerly of Norwell died at home on Thursday, December 23, 2010 surrounded by her family. Daughter of the late Paul R. and Christine M. Bentfield Lyons, she was born in Weymouth on February 19, 1958. Kathleen had been employed as a bartender at Caffe Bella and was a self employed Potter. She was the owner of Tumbleweed Cottage Pottery formerly of Pembroke. With the business expanding, she moved to a larger location and opened Norwell Clayworks in Norwell. She was an organizer and participant of the Pembroke Arts Festival, a member of the Pembroke, North River and Duxbury Arts Associations, a member of the Cohasset South Shore Arts Center, was an avid gardener and taught pottery in various South Shore Towns. She is survived by her husband Scott DeSantis, 3 sons, Derek, Dan and Paul all of Pembroke, sister of Michael Lyons of Plymouth, Roberta Gavin and her husband Michael of CT, Linda Evans and her husband Billy of Marshfield, Lisa O'Connor and her husband Tom of Carver, Mary Anne Lyons of Hanson and the late Paul R. Lyons and Patricia A. Wright Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St., at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in HANSON on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St., Rte 14 in Hanson. Interment at a later date in Pembroke Center Cemetery.
