Kirt "Foot" Fordyce

Kirt "Foot" Fordyce, 76, lifelong resident of Hanover, passed away on May 5, 2025. Born in Holyoke on September 24, 1948, he was the son of the late Henry and Dorothy (Rennie) Fordyce. Kirt proudly served our country in the United States Army, Vietnam Specialist 5th Class for the 52nd Transportation Co. He was dedicated to helping veterans, working with the Homes for Veterans and worked tirelessly on the Veterans Memorial in Hanover. Later, he was a Business Agent for the Carpenter's Local 424 for many years. Kirt loved fishing, whether it be from the shore or out on a boat. He also loved his dog, Jack, and grand-dog, Bruin.

Kirt is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara (Reardon) Fordyce. Father of Tina O’Day and her husband Christopher of Buckley, WA and Daniel Fordyce of Pembroke, MA. Grandfather of Mac and Kaley O’Day of Buckley, WA. Brother of the late Colin Fordyce and Todd Fordyce. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be private.
