Mrs. Linda L. Coolen Brooks, 62 of Rockland died Monday, February 15, 2010 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. The daughter of the late Donald and Olive Gardner Coolen she was born in Dorchester on October 7, 1947. Mrs. Brooks had worked as a waitress at Howard Johnson's for 13 years and later at US Repeating Arms in Hingham for 19 1/2 years, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with family. She is survived by her husband, Peter V. Brooks, 2 sons, Donald B. Walsh and his wife Sandra of Plymouth and Christopher J. Walsh and his wife Katherine of Rockland, 1 granddaughter, Jillian Lee Walsh, sister of Barbara A. Dwyer of Abington, Robert P. Coolen of Weymouth and the late Constance L. Light and the late Barry D. Coolen. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home 45 East Water St in Rockland on Friday from 4-7 PM. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 9 AM in Holy Family Church, 403 Union St in Rockland. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery in Rockland.
