

Margaret “Peg” Anne (Connolly) Christie, 72, passed away peacefully after an Irish hymn of the Partin’ Glass with her daughter Julie by her side on December 1, 2018. Daughter of the late Bridget and Michael Connolly. Born in Dorchester, resident of Norwell MA and recently Portsmouth NH, Loving wife of the late William (Bill) Christie; and a devoted mother to Julie (Christie) and Paul Hurrie of Hampton Falls, NH. Her greatest joy was her precious twin grandchildren Cailin and Connor, whom she spoiled with an abundance of love, meatballs and pretty much anything they wanted. Sister of the late Mary & John Keating of Milton, MA, the late John & Phyllis Connolly of Whitman, MA, the late James, survived by his wife Lerliene Connolly of Jacksonville, FL, the late Joseph, survived by his wife Betty Connolly of Stoneham, MA, and Leo & Joan Connolly of Norwell, MA. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Peg worked at Boston Edison for 13 years before raising her daughter. She was an incredible seamstress, avid reader, crocheter and amazing cook finding happiness by caring for others. Coaching various sports in Norwell she developed many lifelong friendships. She was a trusted real estate broker for Coldwell Banker for many years, taking great pride in finding young couples their forever home. She and Bill were incredible Jitterbug dancers. Always tearing up the floor at weddings. She enjoyed corvette rides, trips to Arizona and Hawaii but mostly loved being with her family. A devout Catholic, proud of being first generation Irish-American and a deeply patriotic American. Peg meticulously made hundreds of bows adorning posters of fallen heroes for the Run for the Fallen NH by hand. She had a life full of happiness and love and is back home dancing with Bill. Peg will live in our hearts forever.
Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53, Hanover, on Friday from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM at St Helen’s Church, 383 Washington Street, Rte 53, Norwell. Burial to follow at Washington Street Cemetery, Norwell.
