Margaret K. Powers Sweeney

Mrs. Margaret K. Powers Sweeney, 70, of Mashpee and Orange City FL died Friday, September 2, 2005 in the Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach FL after a brief illness. The daughter of the late Alphonse and Edna C. Farmer Powers, she was born in Boston on February 19, 1935. She was raised and educated in Hyde Park and lived in Rockland for 19 years then in Mashpee the past 19 years. She and her husband have been winter residents of Orange City FL for the last 15 years. Mrs. Sweeney enjoyed dancing, her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Charles A. Sweeney, 1 son, Lawrence C. Sweeney and his wife, Michelle M. of Marshfield, 1 sister, Maureen Peterson of Weymouth and 2 grandchildren, Kelsey D. Sweeney and Elizabeth K. Sweeney both of Marshfield. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at 9 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Rte 139 in Hanover. Interment will be in the Mass National Cemetery in Bourne at 11 AM. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53 in HANOVER on Monday from 2-6 PM.
