Marie Flynn

Marie I. Flynn, 74 of Pembroke, entered into eternal peace on Jan 24, 2021, with loving family by her side. Born in Boston on October 26, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Marie (Galvin) McGee. She had many careers throughout the years and was a hard worker. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking, gambling and most of all, spending time with family and friends. Marie was affectionately known to many as “Honey” for her sweet nature.

Marie will be most remembered for being the backbone of the family, her spunk, humor, loyalty and telling you how it was.  She will truly be missed by her family and many friends.

Marie is survived by her children Dana A. Lopes, Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Bridgewater, Travis G. Lopes of Maine, Margaret Thomas of Hingham, John Flynn of Boston, Thomas Flynn of Boston, Tracie Lopes of Boston, Derek Lopes of Kingston, and the late Gordon Flynn. She was the sister of Kathleen H. Gale of Pembroke, James McGee of Boston, and the late Carol McGee and Gloria Jean McGee. Marie is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 2 Maquan St, Corner Route 14 & 58, Hanson, on Wednesday from 1-2:30 PM with a funeral home service at 3 PM. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory can be made to the Pembroke Food Pantry.
