Marilynn Beth Moran

Marilynn Beth (Reilly) Moran, 80, of Hanson, MA passed  away on January 1, 2024. The daughter of the late  Thomas and June (Canton) Reilly, she was born in  Brighton, MA on September 8, 1943. Marilynn was raised  in Brighton and then she, along with her husband and two  children, thrived while growing up in Hanson, MA. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years,  Thomas Dennis Moran, originally from Avon, MA. She was the mother of Thomas Patrick Moran of Hanson and  Kathy (Moran) Martin of Watertown, MA. She is also  survived by her granddaughters, Julie Moran of Scituate and Allyson and Diana Martin of Watertown. 

Marilynn will be dearly missed by her sister, June  McCullough of S. Yarmouth, and her brothers, Thomas  Reilly of Framingham, MA and Paul Reilly of S. Berwick,  ME. She is pre-deceased by her sister, Gerri Hurd of  Holbrook, MA and her brother Jim Reilly of Brighton, MA. 

Marilynn was the most kind and caring wife, mother and  friend. While her two children engaged in sports and other  activities at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School,  Marilynn served as a school cafeteria lady so she could  attend all her children’s events.  

Marilynn enjoyed her career as a dental assistant for more  than 25 years. Her passion was to make patients feel  welcome, safe and satisfied and her patients were always  delighted to see her.

Visiting hours will be at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2  Maquan Street, at the corner of Routes 14 & 58 in Hanson  on Saturday, January 13th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM,  followed by a brief service in the funeral home to begin at 1:00 PM. 

Following the funeral home service there will be a  celebration of life gathering at the Hanson Athletic  Association at 171 Reed Street from 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM.  All are welcome.
