
Mary E. Coakley, 93, of Norwell died Tuesday, October 16, 2001 in the Baypath Nursing Home in Duxbury after a long illness. The daughter of the late John and Mary Lane Sullivan, she was born in Boston on December 25, 1907. She was raised and educated in the South End of Boston and live in Quincy for many years before moving to Norwell 14 years ago. Mrs. Coakley was formerly employed as an Operator for the New England Telephone Company. The wife of the late John H. Coakley, she is survived bay a daughter, Mary P. Denver of Hanson, a son, Richard J. Coakley of Kissimmee FL, 13 Grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Robert J. Coakley, and sister of the late John Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan, Margaret Sullivan and the late Helen Acornley. Funeral Mass on Friday at 9 AM in St. Helen's Church, 383 Washington Street, Rte 53, Norwell. Internment in Pine Hill Cemetery in Quincy. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53, in Hanover on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan Street, Hanson, MA 02341.
