Mary Cecil Doucette, 86 of Braintree, MA, formerly of Rockland and Holbrook, passed away on Sunday October 4th, 2015 of complications from a brief illness. She was born July 13, 1929 in Waltham Massachusetts, first child of Irenée and Lucille (Lucy) Comeau. The family moved to Nova Scotia while she was an infant. She moved back to the Boston area around 1950, where she met and married to Paul A. Doucette (1920-2009), a World War II veteran and truck driver from a local village back in Nova Scotia. She was a housewife and survived by three children; Dorene Christianson of Holbrook, Yvonne Mari of Rockland, and David Doucette of Marlborough, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Her surviving brother, Emil Comeau lives in Nova Scotia. Home Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water Street, in Rockland on Friday from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, 403 Union St in Rockland on Saturday at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
