
Mrs. Mary Helen (Palladino) Falvo, 93 of Hanson formerly of Utica NY died peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2011. The daughter of the late Rocco and Palma (Anello) Palladino, she was born in Utica NY on August 20, 1917. Mrs. Falvo had worked as a Cafeteria Manager for 21 1/2 years with the Utica City Schools in Albany Street School and Kernan School. She was very active at the Hanson Senior Center, where she was a member of the Senior Steppers, Supportive Day Program and volunteered in the kitchen for 14 years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph the Worker Church and a member of the Ladies Sodality. Wife of the late Vito Falvo to whom she was married for 55 years, she is survived by 3 daughters; Mary A. Renny and her husband William of Hanson, Palma A. Doughtery and her husband Charles of Schenectady, NY and Vita P. Nemeyer and her husband Tim of Glenville, NY, 1 son, Louis Vito Falvo and his fiancee Theresa Keifer of Rochester, NY, 7 grandchildren, Louis Falvo, Jessica Rossomando and her husband Peter, Ashley Hart, Charles and Meghan Dougherty, Katherine and Elizabeth Keifer, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Martha, John, Louis, Rocco and Steven Palladino. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St., at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in HANSON on Tuesday from 5-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St., Rte 14 in Hanson. Interment in Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson.
