Mary Flynn

Mary was born in Ireland on February 10, 1932. Around the age of 20 she came to the United States. She married the love of her life in 1966, John J. Flynn, Sr., and the two settled in Rockland where they would raise their family.

Mary was an animal lover and always had cats and dogs as family pets. She enjoyed reading and keeping her Irish culture strong. Mary was a fireball of a woman and you always knew where you stood when she locked those beautiful blue eyes on you. She was an avid church goer and held a strong faith.

Mary was the loving wife of the late John J. Flynn, Sr. Mother of Anne Marie Bennett and her husband Bill of Rockland, the late Kathleen Flynn of Marshfield, Maura Flynn of Weymouth and John J. Flynn, Jr. and his wife Christie of Methuen. Grandmother of Matt Bennett, Jack Flynn, Emma Flynn, and Leah Flynn. Sister of the late Evelyn Flynn and her husband Robert E. Flynn, Sr. Beloved Aunt of Robert E. Flynn, Jr., Kevin Flynn, William Flynn, David Flynn, and MaryClare Cushing. She is also survived by her cherished cat Cleo.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 12th from 4-7PM at Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rt. 53 in HANOVER. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 13th at 9:00AM at Holy Family Church in Rockland - 403 Union St. Burial will be held immediately following at Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland - 92 Centre Ave.
