Mary V. Gibbons Marotta

Mary V. Gibbons Marotta, 90, of Hanson died Thursday, July 3, 2003 in the Sachem Nursing Home in East Bridgewater. The daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Duffy Gibbons, she was born in Boston on April 1, 1913. She was raised and educated in Dorchester and lived in Quincy before moving to Hanson in 1988. Mrs. Marotta retired in 1978 as a Clerk at the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston. She was a Member of the Castle Island Association and a former Member of the Hanson Lions Club. Wife of the late Joseph Marotta and the late Walter Buckley, she is survived by 1 son, John J. Buckley of Lakeland FL, 2 daughters, Ellen T. Murphy of Allston and Margaret A. Quinn of Florida, 1 sister, Cecila Collins of Walpole, 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Marie R. Hanlon and the sister of the late Charles B. Gibbons and the late James J. Gibbons. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at 9 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan Street, Rte 14 in Hanson. Interment will be in Old Calvary Cemetery in Boston. Visiting Hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 814 Indian Head Street, at the Corner of Rte 14 & 58 in Hanson on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
