Mary C. Glennon Smith, 89 a resident of Rockland for 54 years, died on January 18. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret McCarthy Glennon. Mary joined the U.S. Navy in 1943 where she met her late husband Robert J. Smith. A kind, strong, loving devoted mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother; she was predeceased by her children Margaret Peggy, Bob, Michael and Theresa. Mary is survived and loved by her 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also the grandmother of the late Kevin Smith. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St., in ROCKLAND on Monday from 4-8PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:00AM in Holy Family Church, 403 Union St., in Rockland. Interment in the Holy Family Cemetery.
