Maxine Lawrence

Mackie grew up in Perth-Andover, New Brunswick Canada and moved to Quincy Massachusetts in her late teens where she attended Quincy High School, met Stanley D. Lawrence Jr. and married in September 1949. She was an accomplished musician, proficient in the piano, violin and flute, and was accepted to the New England Conservatory of Music.

She moved to Norwell in 1956 where she and her husband built their home and raised three sons. Over the years she worked as secretary at the Norwell High School, a book keeper at the South Shore Clinic and a secretary for the Plymouth Area Collaborative.

Her pleasures in life were simple but fulfilling. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, her pets, long walks, helping friends and family members. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family and her grandchildren. 

Mackie was predeceased by her husband of thirty-six years and her first born son Mark. She is survived by her son Drew and his wife Kelly of Hanover, her son David of Norwell, her daughter in-law Debby Keiran of Appleton, Maine, and her grandchildren Rachael, Emily and Katherine Lawrence of Hanover, and Jacob, Kristen and Isaac Keiran of Appleton Maine.

Funeral services will be private.
